Muahaha. >:) I spent hours trying to get as far as possible from that image and onto a decent post-DH fic plotting, but you know how some things just get stuck in your mind and never leave.

Assuming I ever manage to get it finished. It keeps taking weird turns on me. Trying to work out if I can really make Snarry believable in this setting. I'm sure there's a way; I just have to find it.

It's going in a different direction to that, but one that I don't think I've ever really seen in Snarry. I'll see what happens. I tend to write from a VERY loose outline, so things have been known to change on me. ;)

Man, I want to get this fic out of my head. Once it's done, I can focus on the Hellogy again. I think the fic is my vengeance for Certain Happenings. *grin*

I wouldn't get that excited yet. ;) It's 16K words long and counting, and hasn't even gotten to the point of slash being the remotest possibility.

Actually, you'll be glad to hear that, approximately 17,000 words in, slash has begun to rear its head. W00T!

I've done 20 or so pages today, and can probably do more, even though I'm supposed to be blanching tomatoes. (Word to the wise: two Roma plants are enough; three is just silly.) It's going well. I think I needed the break from original fic. I honestly cannot remember the last day I've just taken off. It's been a minimum of two years. Probably closer to five. Fanfic is better than yoga.

*smile* Hypothetically speaking, it might be less shuddersome for Harry, since he barely remembers his mum.

I swear, canon itself supplies the kinkiest plots, I don't even have to look that far for them. This Lily-Harry substitution idea is slowly replacing all the pre-HBP "teacher/student" cliches in my mind. Curiously, what got me into this pairing in the first place is the fact that Snape and Harry were so unlike the regular teacher/student dynamic.
I'll worship the first fandom writer who manages to use Lily storyline to full extent and overcome the 'shuddersome' bits gradually while showing that there's much more to the two of them than misplaced attraction, like the old pairing classics managed to do with teacher/student.

... when the unthinkable happened, despite all of Harry's acidic remarks to Severus (and there were plenty of those over the course of following, very uncomfortable nine months), the Sprog aka Albus Severus did not have Severus's eyes...

Red hair has sulfer in it (in part what gives red hair [and red wine] it's color). When burned, red hair smells like rotten eggs. When red wine gets old, it also tastes like eggs (albeit, like creme brulee; it doesn't taste good since you know you're supposed to be drinking wine, though).

LOL to the nth degree. I love Snape's expression. And oh, lookie! Snape just happens to have a lovely lock of red curly hair which even appears somewhat like the curl you sometimes draw on Harry's head. Even though that curl isn't there this time, Harry's hair looks properly messy which I also like very much. :)

BTW, I think we came upon the idea of polyjuice-in-the-Epilogue scenario separately. Together, but separately, ya know? B/c I remember coming upon this pic and thinking, "So I'm not the only one, huh?"
